Stephanie Perez
Student Attorney (2021)
Stephanie Perez is a former student attorney with the Institute to End Mass Incarceration who graduated from Harvard Law School in 2023. Stephanie was born and raised in Miami, FL, and is the proud daughter of Cuban immigrants. At Harvard, Stephanie was involved with numerous other clinical programs besides IEMI, including the Harvard Prison Legal Assistance Project, Government Lawyer: United States Attorney Clinic, Veterans Law and Disability Benefits Clinic, and the Criminal Justice Institute. In addition, Stephanie spent her 1L summer working on post-conviction death penalty cases at the Georgia Resource Center. Upon graduating from Harvard, Stephanie was awarded the 2023 Ralph D. Gants Access to Justice Award. Stephanie is now a first-year associate at O’Melveny & Myers in their Washington, D.C. office. In 2025, she will return home to Miami to complete a judicial clerkship in the Southern District of Florida. Stephanie remains committed to engaging in pro bono work and public service throughout her legal career.
