Chris Egi
Student Attorney (2025)

Chris Egi is a law student and student attorney from Markham, Ontario, Canada. Before law school, Chris worked in finance, while also getting involved in organizing, including helping start No More Names, a coalition of college student and student athletes pushing for an end to police brutality, and working closely with Emerald Garner, Eric Garner’s daughter, to support her non-profit We Can’t Breathe Inc.
At Harvard Law School, Chris is the Treasurer for the Harvard Black Law Student’s Association, a Harvard Youth Advocacy & Policy Fellow, and a student attorney with the Harvard Defenders, where as a member of the leadership team he is organizing a symposium centering the stories of justice impacted communities in the Boston area.
As a member of the joint JD/MBA program with Harvard Business School, Chris is passionate about storytelling, economic justice and reimagining how we meet our material and social needs. He believes that reshaping economic narratives can help build new systems of solidarity and push us toward an abolitionist horizon.
